Cookies
Effective
Aurea sets four cookies in total. Two are needed for the site to work and are always present; two belong to our analytics provider and are only set if you accept them. Nothing is loaded before you answer — not on page view, not on scroll, and continuing to browse is not taken as agreement.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a site stores on your device. It lets the site recognise your browser on your next visit, remember a preference you set, or count you as one returning visitor rather than several new ones.
Cookies are described by who sets them — first-party if we set them, third-party if a service we use does — and by what they are for. Aurea sets two first-party cookies and, only with your consent, allows two from one third party.
Your choice
You have not answered yet, so only the two essential cookies are set.
What each one does
| Cookie | Set by | What it is for | Lasts | Needs consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| aurea_consent | Aurea (first party) | Stores your answer to the cookie banner. Without it the banner would ask again on every page, including after you have refused. | 182 days | No — strictly necessary |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Aurea (first party) | Remembers the language you chose in the header, so the site is not served in a different one on your next visit. | Session, until you change it | No — strictly necessary |
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity | Identifies a returning browser so repeated visits are counted as one person rather than several. | 1 year | Yes |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Groups the pages you view into a single session. | 1 day | Yes |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one browser from another, so visitors can be counted and returning ones recognised. | 2 years | Yes |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of your current visit, so pages and actions are counted as one session. | 2 years | Yes |
The analytics cookies belong to two tools. Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used — where visitors click and scroll, and session replays — and we use it to find what is confusing on the site. Google Analytics counts visits and where they come from. They are the only third parties that receive anything, and they receive nothing unless you accept. Neither is used for advertising.
Refusing costs you nothing: no part of this site is behind the banner, and no feature stops working.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser's settings, independently of the choice above. Blocking the essential ones will make the banner reappear on every page and the site will stop remembering your language.
Data protection
The analytics cookies involve personal data — an IP address and a device identifier — processed on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw above at any time. AUREA-PLATFORM LLC is the controller; see the privacy policy for your rights and how to exercise them.
Microsoft Clarity is operated by Microsoft and Google Analytics by Google, so accepting analytics cookies involves a transfer of that data outside the European Economic Area, to the United States.
Updates
If we add a cookie or change what one is used for, this page is updated and the choice above is asked again — consent given against an earlier list does not carry over to a new one. Wording corrections do not reset it.
